For 2006 two top arrest officers were, Michael Richardson and Mark Wilson.

These officers are from the Morgan County Sheriff's Department.

Michael Richardson had 34 OWI arrest for the year. He has served with the department for several years, was a communications officer and also a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. He left briefly as an officer for the Morgantown Police Department. Michael was hired back as a Merit (full time) Deputy Sheriff. He attended the ILEA in 2006 nearly four months of training, and he still made the 34 arrests.

Mark Wilson first started with our department as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. He was hired as a Merit (full time) Deputy and since that time he has always either been the top OWI arrest officer or number 2. He is a field training officer, K-9 officer, CIRT (critical incident response team) member serving as Co-Commander, Mark is the departments firearms instructor. Despite his many duties he was able to make 22 arrests.
